Tré, the ‘bedroom popstar’ welcomed us into their home in Charlotte that they share with their mother. True to their moniker, sitting bedside, with a half-functioning Macbook screen (which gave out a few days later RIP) — they gave a performance with the same energy and passion as we would expect from a large stage venue.

Ahmad face-timed their French muse (and fiancé) between takes and gave vulnerable insights into their personal story and musical process. On ‘DEADPOOL’ freshly written verses were workshopped in real time. We left with a sense that we had been given a very special peek into the world of a unique artist.
